IPAD CURRICULUM

We are so excited about the Apple Ipad we have integrated that into our curriculum. As a hybrid Montessori we like to innovate and the ipad offers programs or "app's " as they are commonly called to helps us teach children in a dramatically more effective way. That leaves us more time to play and develop abstract thinking and creative development. Skills that research indicates is seriously lacking in the United States.

In our Ipad curriculum, the teacher plays an essential guiding role. The child has to be shown the proper way to use an application. While computers can do amazing things they are unable to understand the unique needs of an individual child. The teacher's role is therefore to correct the child and give guidance where necessary for task completion. Teachers also supervise and push the child to to complete the task. Without this control mechanism children will give up so proper guidance which our teacher have been trained is essential.

Because of the ease of use that the iPad provides we have developed our our electronic report cards using a pdf file format. That means our teachers can now keep track of your child's progress with the minimum of paperwork and send electronic report cards directly from the ipad via email. Saves us paper and delivers instant feedback.
