A
highly qualified Director with a BA in child development and an
MA in family Studies from California State University, Northridge.
Melina is the energy and focus behind Angel's Montessori School.
She
has years of experience with Preschool children and worked for one
of our other preschools, prior to forming Angels Montessori School
Inc.

Ms.
A (Arpine Zargaryan)
Lead Teacher – Class 2 (Age 4 years)
The
first teacher hired by Angels Montessori, Arpine brings a fresh
youthful exuberance to the school. One of her key strengths is the
creative flair she brings to the school with her ability to create
wonderful arts projects that children complete themselves. She has
great patience with children allowing them to be creative while
gently teaching the correct way of doing things. Also speaks French
and rudimentary Spanish. |

Venny
Mutarais
Teacher (Class 1– Age 2-3) A
nurse for many years and preschool teacher with 2 years of experience.
Venny has probably one of the best combination of skills to work
in a preschool. Nursing skills to ensure that children are safe
and secure and preschool experience to teach the kids the right
way. She has two grown-up children of her own and so brings the
wisdom of personal experience. Her soft gentle Asian manners also
blends in well with the Montessori system, which places an emphasis
on using gently manners and a soft voice.

Ms.
Yvonne Zuniga
Teacher - Class 2 (Age 3-4)
One
of the key skills required to handle a 3 year old class is stamina
and extreme patience. These two skills Yvonne has in spades. Not
to mention diaper change duties and ensuring that children get immersed
in their learning program. |

Ms.
Patty Lopez
Teacher - Class 2 (Age 2-3)
A
mother of two grown children with a loving and nurturing personality,
that attends to each childs needs. Ms. Patty brings a wealth of
experience. She also works at Pasadena City College as a teacher
's aide for a parents education class conducted twice a week. Prior
to that she had her own home care program looking after a group
children under 5 years of age. Married for over 17 years,
she finds children very interesting. Always learning from children
and growing as a person. As a fluent Spanish/English speaker Patty
teachers children their colors, numbers, songs (day of the week)
in Spanish amoung other important responsibilities. |

Ms.
Carmen Oliva
Teacher - Class 3 (Age 4)
The
mother of a 3 year old daughter, Carmen also brings a gentle touch
that only mother could bring. An easy going teacher whose temparament
suits the children in this older class. |

Maricela
Flores
Teacher - Class 2 (Age 3-4)
The lead teacher
in class 2, Maricela sets the overall tone for this class. She is
a no nonsense teacher with a strong grasp of discipline and child
psychology. Always calm under pressure she has a particular ability
to handle very young children, displaying a level of stamina and
focus not only to further their learning objectives but also to
ensure that children develop excellent social skills. |

Ms.
Madlena Goryan
Teacher - Class (Age 3-4 years)
Ms.
Madlena has been working with children since the age of fourteen,
and has worked with children from ages two to twelve. Her experience
includes preschool, recreation and daycare. She is currently pursuing
her Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development while simultaneously
working at Angel’s Montessori. This helps relate her studies
to the workplace, thus making her strive to become a better teacher
everyday. She focuses on each child’s individual needs and
makes sure all students are comfortable in the classroom. The comfort
level of the students is a reflection of her personal philosophy.
She knows that in order for children to succeed emotionally as well
as academically in the classroom, there must be a sense of trust
between child, family and teacher.
