CLASS 1

This is our ages 2-3 year old class. This is the formative experience for young children. The focus starts with the basics which establishes the foundation for preschool. The morning starts with circle time where students gather around to sing songs, read a story, learn shapes, colors and basic numbers/sounds. In this class students are taught toilet training.

After circle time, it is diaper-changing and toilet-training time. Toilet training and taking care of their personal needs, such as washing their hands, are part of their education in this class. Children in this class often start with the Montessori knobbed cylinders, a set of educational tools designed for young children to help develop their cognitive and motor skills, as well as concentration. The famous Montessori pink tower also helps children develop motor skills, concentration, and the ability to discriminate shapes from the smallest to the largest.

Students also learn about the 1st and 2nd boxes of color tablets (see the Montessori explanation), shapes (square, circle, etc.), basic numbers from 1 to 10 (depending on the child’s level), and an introduction to sounds (phonics). A fun part of this class includes practical life exercises, such as pouring, spooning, and transferring, to develop fine motor skills. Arts and crafts projects, playdough, and a variety of music and dance activities are also part of the schedule

SPECIAL FEATURES :

LED Lights - This class is equipped with flicker-free, evenly distributed LED spotlights with a dimmer for better learning and relaxation. Studies seem to indicate that proper LED lighting can improve concentration, reading speed, comprehension, lower error rates, and create calmer and more relaxed children.

ALEXA SMART SPEAKER - We have a variety of music for each part of the day, including gentle classical music for study time and lively dance music for exercise.
